Good to get so close.

Flock of 60 Barwits.

These flew past me at a fair rate this morning and I had to work fast to count them and then I thought I might get a record shot - I was wrong! Nonetheless, a useful exercise as my counts of 70-90 were a little out. This looks more like 60.

Black-tailed Godwit & Common Redstart

A trip up country to see the flock of Black-tailed Godwit that have been present at Fenlake Meadows NR since the 13th Apr. There were 16 present this morning and were feeding constantly. At Tempsford the Common Redstart found yesterday was feeding from a hedge which gave some shelter from the strong easterly wind.
